Oak Wilt: What Can I Do?
Are you pruning, or thinking about cutting an oak tree soon? This is a friendly reminder that to keep oak trees healthy don’t prune or cut any Oaks from April 15th – July 15th.

Oak wilt is a disease that is very harmful to Washtenaw county oak trees, and can cause trees to die back in a matter of seasons. Cutting oaks during this time period opens your tree’s living tissue to this disease.

To learn more about oak wilt, and what you can do to protect our oak trees take a look at this Oak Wilt article!
