SPEAKER: Todd Brighton: Patriots: Everyday Citizens and the Founding of America

At the end of the SAHS membership Meeting, there will be a presentation by Todd Brighton, a dedicated antiques collector and historical reenactor, titled Patriots: Everyday Citizens and the Founding of America. 

 

This immersive experience will offer an overview of the various factions involved in the conflict (Patriots, Loyalists, British forces, and Native Americans) and explore the lives of everyday citizens and soldiers during the American Revolution.  Todd will highlight the stories of five citizen-soldiers who served alongside General Washington.  Attendees will have the opportunity to view items from his collection, which features American, British, and French military gear, original portraits, manuscripts, and early Americana, including Native American trade silver, ceramics, and pewter pieces.

 

Admission:    Free for SAHS members

                        $2 for non-SAHS Members
