What is early voting?

Early voting allows a voter to cast a ballot before Election Day, in an experience similar to voting on Election Day.

The statewide early voting period begins today, Saturday, October 26 and will run through Sunday, November 3. Early voting sites must be open for at least eight hours each day during the early voting period.

Look up your early voting site location and hours at Michigan.gov/Vote.

Who can vote early?

Any registered voter in Michigan has the right to vote early in person at an early voting site for all statewide and federal elections.

How do I vote early?

At an early voting site, voters are issued a ballot and can then insert their ballot directly into a tabulator. Voters can also bring their completed absentee ballots to tabulate at early voting sites.

Find your early voting location, check your voter registration status or look up your local clerk information at Michigan.gov/Vote.
