Voter Communications and Mailings
It’s common in election years for third-party groups to send messages directly to voters either by mail, email, or text message linking to the public Secretary of State website or urging voters to return absentee ballot applications to their clerk’s office.
For example, You may receive an application for an absentee ballot in the mail from your clerk, a political party, a campaign, or a nonpartisan organization.
If you’re unsure about your voter registration status or the status of an absentee ballot, you can visit Michigan.gov/Vote to check your voter registration status, request an absentee ballot, or track your absentee ballot after returning it by mail or ballot drop box.
