What would you ask someone who says he died, went to Heaven, and returned?
Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan residents will have three opportunities over Labor Day WEEKEND to hear that extraordinary account firsthand when author and speaker Robert Marshall comes to Ann Arbor for “Encounters with Heaven,” presented by Divine Encounter Church at Washtenaw Community College.
The special three-day event will take place Friday, September 4; Saturday, September 5; and Sunday, September 6, 2026, immediately preceding Labor Day on Monday.
Marshall, who resides in Texas, authored 44 Hours in Heaven which tells of his 2024 medical crisis when he was declared clinically dead and went to heaven. Marshall will share his personal testimony of his experience and the miracle he experienced.
Rather than simply asking audiences to accept the account, the event will give attendees the opportunity to hear Marshall tell his story in person and ask him questions about what he says he saw and experienced.
The event is expected to be of particular interest not only to people of faith, but also to skeptics, people with questions about life after death, those interested in near-death experiences, and anyone curious enough to hear Marshall’s account and draw their own conclusions.
