Celebrating 176 years, Detroit’s & Michigan’s oldest benevolent society, the St.
Andrew’s Society of Detroit proudly presents the longest running, continuous
Highland Games in North America on Saturday, August 2nd beginning at 8am at
historic Greenmead in Livonia at Eight Mile and Newburgh Rd. From heavy
Scottish athletic events and marching pipe bands to food, live music and a Wee
Bairns play area for the youngsters, there’s fun for everyone! To help you get your
“Scottish” on, you’ll enjoy shopping our on-site vendors!
The Cèilidh (pronounced) as kay-lee, a huge, live music party under the big tent,
kicks off on at 6pm on Friday, August 1st at Greenmead. The Cèilidh is an adult
party, featuring rousing Scottish music bands and favorite beverages.
