April Event:
The SAHS Membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, at 7 PM in the South Salem Stone School. A short SAHS Business agenda will be followed by a presentation by Charlie Shelton from Huron Clinton Metroparks on the People of the Three Fires about the lives of pre-statehood Ojibwa, Odawa and Potawatomi peoples. Admission Fee: $2 for non-SAHS Members.
May Events:
The Salem Area Historical Society Trinkets to Treasures Community Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, May 17th, from 9 AM to 2 PM. This will be a community wide yard sale featuring flea market and resale items. You can buy a space to sell your items or you can donate items to SAHS with all proceeds from their sale going to SAHS General Fund. Clean out your attic, your garage, your house! It’s time to sell your unwanted treasures or donate them to SAHS to sell. SAHS will be accepting donations at the South Salem Stone School, that SAHS will sell, on two drop-off dates of Sat. May 10th (9-11 am) and Wed. May 14th (5-7 pm). For more information and/or to reserve your seller’s spot go to the SAHS Website (www.SAHShistory.org).
