Honoring the fallen Memorial Day weekend, Michigan Flight Museum will participate in parade flyovers and feature its Tribute Rosies Drill Team in various Memorial Day parades. Check out these Memorial Day activities:
100th Anniversary River Forest-Oak Park Memorial Day Parade steps off at 9:30am at Ashland Avenue and Augusta Street. Marching in the parade you can’t miss the Museum’s Tribute Rosies Drill Team as they salute the millions of women from World War II who worked tirelessly in factories across our nation building airplanes for the war effort.
Dearborn Memorial Day Parade, Michigan’s oldest Memorial Day Parade steps off on Monday, May 26th at Schaefer Rd and Michigan Ave at 10am. You’ll know when the parade begins as you hear the rumble of the engines of the iconic World War II planes flying overhead: the B25 bomber, Rosies Reply, and the C47 troop transport, Hairless Joe, will roar down the parade route.
Milford Memorial Day Parade on Monday May 26th will begin at 11am with a patriotic flyover of the gallant B25, Rosie’s Reply, and the troop transport C-47, Hairless Joe. The Milford parade starts at the Milford American Legion Post and goes south to Central Park. Marching in the parade are the Museum’s Tribute Rosies Drill Team along with a Rosie Walk and Wave Brigade.
Hartland Memorial Day Parade also occurs on Monday, May 26th with a striking flyover of the valiant B25, Rosie’s Reply, and the durable C-47, Hairless Joe, at 11:25am. The parade route begins at Hartland Middle School on Hartland Road and ends at Village Elementary School on Maple Street.
