Astronomy at the Beach 2025 – Michigan’s Largest Free Astronomy Event

We’re excited to announce that Astronomy at the Beach, the largest astronomy and space science event in the Midwest, will take place on September 26–27, 2025 at Island Lake State Park Recreation Area in Brighton, Michigan.

Now in its 29th year, this free public event brings together families, students, and science enthusiasts for hands-on experiences and an opportunity to explore the night sky through dozens of telescopes.

 Event Highlights:

• 50+ telescopes for stargazing
• Space-object scavenger hunt for kids
• Hands-on science activities
• Michigan Science Center and the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum
• Gemini space capsule simulator
• Food vendors
