The Ann Arbor Rotary Clubs (Ann Arbor, North and West) are excited to
announce the return of Send Hunger Packing, a hands-on project to fight
food insecurity in Washtenaw County and around the world. Partnering with
Kids Coalition Against Hunger, our goal this year is to pack 50,000 nutritious
meals—right here in our community.
Volunteers will assemble tasty meal bags with rice, soy, vegetables, and
vitamins. Each bag is sealed, boxed, and distributed: one-third locally, one-
third to global hunger relief, and one-third for disaster response. This
marks our fourth year hosting this impactful one-day event at Pioneer High
School. To succeed, we need to raise $17,500. Many hands make light
work, and we will need 200 volunteers to get this task done.
