County Cleanup Days

County Cleanup Days are events where Washtenaw County residents can recycle and dispose of many household items including electronics, household hazardous waste, bulky waste, appliances, and scrap tires. Each year, multiple events are held at different locations in Washtenaw County.

Washtenaw County residents may attend any of the events. Materials from businesses, government agencies, non-profits, or other organizations are not accepted.

  • Residents can also bring 1 television or freon appliance; a $10 donation is suggested for each additional item.

Cash and check donations are accepted at the Cleanup Days at the event’s check-in station. Make checks payable to Washtenaw County.

Volunteering

We rely on the help of volunteers to run a smooth event for the community! Volunteers primarily help direct traffic and unload materials from resident cars. We provide volunteers with a t-shirt, snacks, drinks, and lunch.

Volunteers do not need to fill out the event registration to drop off materials at the event. However, volunteers do need to sign up for a shift to volunteer.
