The Ann Arbor Summer Festival (A2SF) has announced its full season of events taking place at Top of the Park for the 2025 season.
The 2025 A2SF season at Top of the Park opens with a vibrant celebration as two-time GRAMMY Award winner Rhiannon Giddens brings her signature blend of old-time music and contemporary folk to the O&W Grove Stage, in partnership with the University of Michigan Arts Initiative Artist-in-Residence program. Known for her mastery of fiddle and banjo, Giddens leads a foot-stomping community jam. Boundary-pushing jazz bassist Josef Deas precedes Giddens, opening the evening. The Rackham Stage continues Americana energy with Frontier Ruckus and ramps up with Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers (June 13).
Throughout the season, both stages host a diverse lineup of acclaimed national, international, and local talent. Highlights include genre-bending marching band Mucca Pazza, brass-powered metal cover band Brass Against (June 14), and family-friendly Kids Rock performances with Little Miss Ann (June 15) and Gemily (June 22), presented in partnership with the Ann Arbor District Library.
June heats up on the Rackham Stage with Afro-Cuban jazz duo OKAN and second line celebration from Gabriel Brass Band (June 20), Salsa Night with Armando Vega and the 313 Orchestra (June 21), and the infectious rhythms of Balkan Paradise Orchestra (June 22). Swing Night includes Aston Neighborhood Pleasure Club and Djangophonique (June 24), followed by eclectic powerhouse Veronica Swift (June 25), Detroit’s Urban Art Orchestra (June 26), and the esteemed Jazz Ambassadors of the U.S. Army Field Band (June 28).
The O&W Grove Stage highlights some of Southeast Michigan’s finest in jazz, chamber, bluegrass, and singer-songwriter stylings, including Sakura Instrumental Group (June 18), Camilla Cantu (June 21), Sarah D’Angelo (June 24), Lauren Blackford and Schmaltz (June 25). A2SF will also play host to ensembles from Center Stage Strings (June 26) and American Saxophone Academy (June 27).
Late nights light up with After Dark DJ parties on Fridays and Saturdays, featuring sets from local legends like BATZ, Medusa, 3Steez and Graffiti, alongside Detroit favorites EJay, On Time Tello, and Problematic Black Hottie.
The season concludes with So Long Sunday on June 29, with the charismatic Afro-Cuban soul singer Alex Cuba on the O&W Grove Stage, and the Rackham Stage boasting local legends Lady Sunshine and the X Band, and perennial favorites George Bedard and the Kingpins.
