There’s Snow Place Like Northville Family Day
Saturday, December 14, 11 am – 3 pm at the Northville Art House
Northville, MI — On Saturday, December 14 from 11 am to 3 pm, the Northville Art House will host the second annual There’s Snow Place Like Northville Family Day. This festive event is highlighted by a holiday craft workshop, a winter wonderland photoroom, a hot cocoa and cookie bar, holiday caroling , and a young artist pop-up gallery.
“This year, we’ve invited a group of award-winning young artists to sell their handmade crafts and artwork,” says Shannon Karol, Executive Director at the Northville Art House. “Kids get to shop for art and gifts to give to family and loved ones and the artists keep all of their earnings.”
Holiday-themed activities can be found all around the decorated Art House. As guests come inside and head downstairs, they will enter Santa’s Workshop, a magical place to create unique holiday crafts at three different project stations. They can also warm up with a cup hot cocoa or coffee and sweet treats at the Hot Cocoa and Cookie Bar. Upstairs guests arrive in The Great Elven Hall, a great place to play a couple fun family games and to shop for art and gifts to give family and loved ones. On display will be over 135 artworks in the Small Works art exhibition as well as handmade crafts and art from our Young Artist Art Fair award-winners. Down the hallway, guests can view art on the Emerging Elf Wall and gather for a holiday photo with festive props in the Winter Wonderland Studio. Before leaving for the day, everyone is invited to draw a picture, share a message, or write a wish for Santa on the Holiday Wish Tree.
Karol adds, “We look forward to the Northville Children’s Chorale singing carols and, like last year, hope that Santa makes an appearance wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday!”
