Yankee Air Museum Salutes Health Care Workers and First Responders
Thunder Over Michigan Ticket Giveaway Continues
–Yankee Air Museum is recognizing health care workers and first responders with complimentary tickets to the Thunder Over Michigan Air Show, August 3 and 4, 2019. The men and women working in these professions consistently risk their lives, virtually every day, on behalf of Americans from all walks of life.
As a gesture of the Museum’s appreciation, two air show tickets (valued at $90) will be given, as follows:
Health care workers, including physicians, nurses, support staff, nursing home personnel, case managers and people in similar occupations, can receive tickets on: Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 11:00AM to 3:00PM.
First responders, including police, fire, emergency medical technicians, tow truck operators, and those in similar capacities, can receive tickets on: Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The complimentary tickets will be available in the Museum Gift Shop on these days and times only. The Museum asks recipients to present evidence of their health care/first responder affiliation to receive the tickets. The Gift Shop is located immediately inside the public entrance at 47884 D Street, Belleville, MI. No purchase is required.
“Health care workers and first responders deal with very difficult circumstances, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Protecting people, saving lives and improving public health are the forces driving these vital workers, so we are honored to show our gratitude by hosting them at this great air show,” said Kevin Walsh, Executive Director of Yankee Air Museum.
For years, Thunder Over Michigan has been one of the leading air shows in the country. The 2019 show has a fantastic line up, including a record gathering of F-4U Corsairs (fighter aircraft used extensively in WWII and Korea), the US Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, aerial demonstration pilot Michael Goulian, plus many aircraft on static display. Of course, there are plenty of food and drink vendors and attractions for the kids. Thunder Over Michigan is a fun time for all.
The general admission tickets are good for one day, either August 3 or 4, of the air show. Thunder Over Michigan will be held at Willow Run Airport, with gates opening at 9:00 AM. For directions, please see: http://yankeeairmuseum.org/airshow/directions/
