Wild Swan Theater – A Honey Pot of Pooh Stories
WILD SWAN THEATER PRESENTS
A HONEY POT OF POOH STORIES
ANN ARBOR – Wild Swan Theater kicks of its 39th season of bringing the finest theater to Michigan’s families A Honey Pot of Pooh Stories. This production is a charming collection of stories featuring children’s all time favorite bear, Winnie the Pooh.
Little theater goers will love joining Pooh as he hums his way through the Hundred Aker Woods. Whether he’s pretending to be a cloud to trick bees out of their honey, hunting heffalumps with Piglet, or stuck in the doorway at Rabbit’s house, Winnie the Pooh is just about the best friend a child could have. This production is a perfect introduction to live theater for young children. With its storybook setting and lively action and music, little ones will be drawn effortlessly into the magical world of Pooh.
Longtime Wild Swan favorite actress Sandy Ryder portrays Winnie the Pooh. Michelle Lanzi plays Rabbit and Eyeore with Meghan Van Arsdalen as Piglet. David Mosher has created the musical score which he performs on the fiddle.
Kim Willett’s interpreting is seamlessly woven into the action, adding another layer of clarity and depth to the stories while bringing the beauty of sign language to our stage. Backstage touch tours and audio-description are available for blind theater patrons. These services are free but must be reserved by calling (734) 995-0530.
In collaboration with the Ann Arbor Backyard Beekeepers, there will be special craft and bee-related activities before and after the Saturday, October 27th, 11:00am performance.
