Call to Convention:
The purpose of this summer convention is to inform both delegates and citizens of issues, candidates, and County goals in the upcoming election cycle, and to recruit and train new Precinct Delegates towards meaningful involvement with the Republican party.
The Convention will be conducted by the four Congressional District Chairs (Wayne 11th, Wayne 12th, 13th Congressional District, and Wayne 14th) of Wayne County. Citizens seeking first time election to Precinct Delegate will be walked through the convention process in an open, fun and engaging manner, while building comradery with current Precinct Delegates within their respective Congressional Districts.
All attendees are asked to pitch-in $5.00 to help cover the cost of expenses. All attendees will have an opportunity to hear from Republican gubernatorial candidates seeking to unseat Gretchen Whitmer as well as other prominent leaders. All other Republican candidates are welcome to attend.
All attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a Michigan Republican straw poll for Governor in 2022, and President of the United States in 2024. Citizens who are new will have an opportunity to meet the Republican leadership within their Congressional District.
The goal is to build the party with principled leaders, prepare for the upcoming election cycle and to ensure clean and fair elections, and to demonstrate how everyone can help correct and ensure that what happened in the 2020 election never happens again.
