SUMMARY:The Northville Art House is proud to present its ninth annual Young Artist Art Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Northville Art House is proud to present its ninth annual Young Artist Art Fair\, Saturday\, May 10\, from 11 am – 3 pm\, at the First Presbyterian Church of Northville\, located at 200 E Main St. in Downtown Northville. Held over Mother’s Day weekend\, this inspiring event celebrates the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of 33 young artists in Grades 2 through 12.\n\nThe fair provides an exciting platform for youth artists to produce\, price\, and sell their original artwork and crafts\, while gaining real-world experience in the professional art world. Visitors will discover an array of imaginative work including drawings\, paintings\, collages\, jewelry\, textiles\, prints\, journals\, and greeting cards\, all uniquely influenced by nature\, pop culture\, and everyday life. Artists retain 100% of their profits.\n\n“This event gives young creatives the opportunity to explore and demonstrate their talents in a public setting\,” shares Shannon Karol\, Executive Director of the Northville Art House. “They take ownership of their art from start to finish\, which is an empowering and educational experience.”\n\nArtists compete for awards in two age divisions: Ages 8 – 13 and Ages 14 – 18. A panel of local jurors will recognize six outstanding participants — three in each age group — for excellence in both artwork and table presentation.\n\nThe fair also includes live youth musical performances and a student art exhibition featuring pieces from Northville Art House’s After School Art Programs at Amerman\, Ridge Wood\, Silver Spring\, Thornton Creek\, and Winchester Elementary Schools\, along with work from students at Northville Presbyterian Preschool.\n\nA $5 suggested donation is requested for visitors aged 13 and older. Kids 12 and under enter free. Proceeds support the continuation of this enriching program. Parking is available on the street and in nearby municipal lots.\n\nJoin us for a day of family fun\, local talent\, and unique handmade gifts — just in time for Mother’s Day.\n\nLearn more at www.northvillearthouse.org/yaaf/ and www.facebook.com/events/576687828855009.\n\nMedia Contact:\nShannon Karol\, Executive Director\nNorthville Art House\n248.344.0497\noffice@northvillearthouse.org\n \nImages: All Photos Credit Photo credit & courtesy of Northville Art House\, Inc.\n\n1.      YAAF Artist – Aashi Bora\, Age 12\, Grade 7\, Parent: Chaitali Gandhi\n2.      YAAF Music – Vanessa Bryer\, Age 17\, Grade 12\, Parent: Renee Bryer\n3.      YAAF After School Art Exhibit\n4.      YAAF Northville Art House
