The Leslie Science & Nature Center will host Huron Pines AmeriCorps Member, Megan Robeson through November 2018
The Leslie Science & Nature Center will host Huron Pines AmeriCorps Member, Megan Robeson through November 2018. During her time at LSNC, Megan will organize, lead, and educate in a variety of environmental education, conversation, and stewardship opportunities. These opportunities include on-site field trips, camps, public programs, and some special events. Megan will aid in coordinating LSNC’s Backyard Campout, and Animal Haunts. “Having an AmeriCorps member at LSNC opens opportunities in projects and programming that we have not been able to start”, said Karen Rendell, Operations Director at LSNC, “Megan will be a pioneer in starting many “dream” projects for us”. Megan was attracted to the position at LSNC because she has visited the site for years and was excited at the opportunity to work for LSNC. Megan is looking forward to gaining perspective on what it’s like to work for an environmental non-profit.
