The American Legion Post 282 of Ypsilanti in partnership with Ypsi Parade – Ypsilanti Independence Day Parade

The American Legion -Post 282 of Ypsilanti in partnership with Ypsi Parade would like to announce that even though the State has lifted outdoor restrictions as of June 1st, due to timing we will not be throwing a traditional parade this year and plan to return to the traditional parade format in 2022. We would like to provide a quality event that lives up to the 92 year old tradition and cannot do so in the time allotted. This year we will come be coming “Live from the Legion”via our Facebook page. Starting at 11:00am we will go “Live” on Facebook from The American Legion-Post 282 with a flag ceremony and presentation. At 12:00 pm the American Legion is open to the public.Free hotdogs, chips and beverages will be handed out. Inside the legion there will be full bar service. There will be games, prizes, and performers for families to enjoy. We will also have a visit from the Ypsilanti Fire Department and the National Guard who will bring out trucks and tanks for kids to explore. We are still welcoming local vendors and past parade participants to be apart of this event. Direct all inquiries to our Facebook page (@YpsiParade) or email us at Ypsi4thParade@gmail.com
