DESCRIPTION:The American Legion – Post 282 and Parade Ypsi is happy to\nannounce the 95th Annual Ypsilanti 4th of July Parade\, presented by Ypsilanti Downtown\nDevelopment Authority (YDDA)\, and Hinton Realty.\nThe parade begins at 11:00 AM on July 4th. The parade route starts at the corner of Oakwood\nand West Cross Street in Ypsilanti and will travel down West Cross Street\, ending at Rice Street\nin Ypsilanti’s Historic Depot Town.\nThis year’s parade features over 60 participants who live in\, work in\, love\, and support Ypsilanti.\nParticipants include the marching bands from Ypsilanti Community High School and Lincoln\nHigh School\, local drag performers lead by Sir Guy\, new clown Baha Blast\, local funk band\nThunderbuck\, classics such as the Firehouse Museum and the American Rosie the Riveter\nAssociation\, and America’s Got Talent Season 16 contestant and local hip-hop rising star\nKidJay.\nOur parade Grand Marshall is Washtenaw County Commissioner for District 6 Annie Somerville.\nSomerville\, an Eastern Michigan University graduate\, is passionate about serving her district\nwith a focus on mental health and accessible housing. She is a fixture of the community with a\nhands-on approach and supports a wide scope of local organizations that align with her goals\nfor District 6.\nBusinesses\, groups\, and organizations wishing to participate in the parade are invited to visit\nour Facebook page @YpsiParade and fill out the registration form through July 2. A special\nthank you to this year’s sponsors\, the Ypsilanti DDA and Hinton Realty\, as well as the\nall-volunteer crew who help make this parade possible
