Take a Ride on a Huey Helicopter at the Ann Arbor Airport June 11th
Enjoy a Pancake Breakfast and Fly-in
Have you ever flown in a Huey helicopter with the doors wide open and the wind rushing over your face? You will have that opportunity at EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Chapter 333’s annual Pancake Breakfast and Fly-in on Sunday, June 11th. This experience is not your typical aircraft ride; you’ll feel the difference from lift-off to landing. The pancake breakfast will be from 8:00am until 11:00am along with free activities for children including a Ninja Obstacle Course.
Beginning at 9am until 2pm, you can take a thrilling 10-minute ride in the iconic Huey Helicopter for only $125.00. Book your ride/time in advance or take a chance and walk up that day. To get your tickets in advance visit https://yankeeairmuseum.org/fly/#huey or just walk up at 9:00am to see what’s available. If you’re curious and want to simply hear the “whomp, whomp” of the Huey, come and check out the Huey during the pancake breakfast and activities in the morning.
The Yankee Air Museum Huey, Greyhound, served in the Vietnam War from 1967 until 1971. It was part of the 240th Assault Helicopter Company known as The Greyhounds, Mad Dogs, and Kennel Keepers.
