Salem Area Historical Society Events for Sept and Oct 2023: Annual Fundraising Dinner and Auction, Annual SAHS Barn Dance, Monthly Meeting

Tickets are now available for the Salem Area Historical Society’s 2023 Annual Dinner and Auction on Sunday, October 1st, at 6 PM at Salem Hills Golf Club House. Tickets to this pre-paid event are $45.00 per SAHS Member and $50 per non-SAHS Member. Everyone is invited. The event includes a Multi-Course 2-Entrée Buffet Dinner, a silent auction, a live auction and Fun for all. Auction items include: Tickets to area attractions, gift cards, sports memorabilia, historical items, gift baskets and much more. Tickets can be purchased via the SAHS Website’s “SAHS Dinner/Auction” Webpage (http://www.sahshistory.org) or via an email to Salem_Area_HS@yahoo.com.

The Annual SAHS Barn Dance will be held on Friday, September 8th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Three Cedars Farm on Six Mile Road just west of Curtis Road. Members and non-members are welcome. Admission at the door will be $5.00 per person. The Square Dance Caller will assist dancers with all levels of experience.

On Wednesday, September 28th, Salem Area Historical Society will be holding its monthly meeting at the South Salem Stone School starting at 7:30 PM. It will start with a short business meeting that will be followed by Doug Parka’s (President of the Brighten Chapter of Rolling Thunder) talk on the history of Rolling Thunder.
