Marine Corps Recruiting Station Lansing will be hosting the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon
LANSING, Mich. – Marine Corps Recruiting Station Lansing will be hosting the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon performance on June 1, 2021 from 6:00 – 6:30 P.M. at Fuerst Park, 45325 W 10 Mile Rd., Novi, Mich. 48375.
The Silent Drill Platoon, based out of Washington D.C., is known for their unique precision drill exhibition requiring the high discipline and professionalism associated with every Marine. The Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon is made up of a 24-man rifle platoon wielding hand-polished, 10-and-one-half pound M1 Garand rifles with fixed bayonets. Their routine concludes with a unique rifle inspection sequence demonstrating elaborate rifle spins and tosses.
Following their performance, future Marines from Recruiting Station Lansing will recite the oath of enlistment, affirming their commitment to the Marine Corps and defense of the constitution.
Recruiting Station Lansing’s mission is to recruit and prepare the next generation of Marines for recruit training.
