Launch into the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum during Thanksgiving Break for ScienceFest: Pumpkin Chunkin’

Wednesday, November 27th, Friday, November 29th-Sunday, December 1st: ScienceFest: Pumpkin Chunkin’ will launch at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum over Thanksgiving break as we investigate physics by discovering the best way to create some (pumpkin) pie in the sky! This event is free with paid Museum admission, free for Museum members. Admission is $12.50 per person for ages 2 & up, under 2 years are free. We are also continuing to offer our discounted $3 admission for Michigan EBT/Bridge Card cardholders through January 5th, 2020.

Have you ever wanted to launch pumpkin and see how far it can fly? Which works better, a catapult or a trebuchet? This Thanksgiving come to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum to find out!

We will be building our own pumpkin launching devices with mini pumpkins and other objects. Pumpkin Chunkin’ activities will run 12-4 Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving break.

In addition to ScienceFest: Pumpkin Chunkin’, the Museum will also offer several add-on workshops for museum visitors. Come explore Slime Time on Wednesday, Food Chain on Friday and Saturday, and DIY Lip Balm and Slime Time on Sunday. These workshops are $6 general public, $4 members with specific times throughout the day. Please see our website for times and details.

Discover the Scientist within you at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum! Explorers of all ages can investigate a world full of educational and interactive exhibits that highlight the wonders of math, science, technology, and art. Hours: Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday noon – 5 p.m. The Museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Call 734-995-5439 for more information.
