Intervention to Durable Recovery: The Power of Family – A FREE presentation

Intervention to Durable Recovery: The Power of Family – A FREE presentation by internationally-known recovery and Intervention experts Jeff and Debra Jay, authors of the New York Times best-selling Love First: A New Approach to Intervention for Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, the critically acclaimed guide It Takes a Family: A Cooperative Approach to Lasting Sobriety, and several other books!

Addiction to alcohol/other drugs is often described as a “family disease” – but families are often left out of the recovery equation. Can others help when a person with addiction doesn’t seem to want help? Do family and friends have to wait for the person with addiction to “hit bottom” – even if the family is being taken along on the journey? What if the person is LIVING on the “bottom” – and death or incarceration is the only “lower bottom” there is? And, what happens next with the family if their loved one initiates recovery?

When family members and friends are involved and supportive from the initiation of sobriety through the continuum of the recovery process, the potential for successful outcomes for all concerned can be exponentially improved. Jeff and Debra Jay literally “wrote the books” on the Intervention and Structured Family Recovery™ processes that empower family members and their loved one to team together for mutual success. Our community will have a unique (and free!) opportunity to learn about these processes directly from the experts who created them! Jeff and Debra will bring PRACTICAL INFORMATION, HELP and HOPE to anyone who wants to learn proven, effective techniques for how to do an intervention and how to build a family recovery team
