Hackett Auto Museum to host “A Discussion with Chris Lezotte”
Lezotte’s presentation is the third event of the museum’s Winter Speaker Series
The Hackett Auto Museum is pleased to announce the third event of its Winter Speaker Series – “A
Discussion with Chris Lezotte.” Lezotte will be the last speaker in the 2018-19 series, which focuses
on exploring the city and region’s rich automotive heritage.

WHO: A Motor City native, Chris Lezotte, Ph.D., spent much of her past life in the ad
business as a VP Creative Group Supervisor, creating award-winning commercials
for clients such as Buick and GMC truck. After exiting her advertising career, Chris
completed a master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies at Eastern Michigan
University in 2009, followed by a Ph.D. in American Culture Studies at Bowling
Green State University in 2015. Chris’ body of work examines the relationship
between women and cars in a variety of contexts. Chris has been published in a
number of academic journals and her first book – Power Under Her Foot: Women
Enthusiasts of American Muscle Cars – was released in June 2018.
