SUMMARY:FYI: There will NOT be a 2025 Ypsilanti Independence Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:Ypsilanti Independence Day Parade Organizer Steps Down After Nine Years\nof Service \nAfter nearly a decade of dedicated leadership\, Angel Vanas\, leader of Ypsi\nParade and owner of Star Studio\, has announced that she will be stepping down as the\norganizer of the Ypsilanti Independence Day Parade.\n“Organizing this parade has been an incredible journey and a true labor of love\,” said Vanas.\n“However\, the demands of running a growing business and the increasing complexities of\norganizing such a large event have led me to this difficult decision.”\nUnder Vanas’s leadership\, the Ypsilanti Independence Day Parade became one of the most\ndiverse and celebrated events in the region\, drawing over 10\,000 attendees annually. The\nparade showcased a vibrant cross-section of the community\, from local businesses and\ncommunity groups to artists and performers.\nDue to the timing of this decision\, there will be no parade in 2025. The deadlines for necessary\npermits and funding have already passed. However\, Vanas is optimistic about the future of the\nevent and encourages interested community members to step forward.\n“This is a fantastic opportunity for a new generation of leaders to step up and continue this\nbeloved tradition\,” Vanas added. “I am more than willing to assist anyone who wants to take on\nthe role for future years.” \nFor those interested in learning more about taking over the organizing of the parade\, please\ncontact Angel Vanas at ypsi4thparade@gmail.com.
