In addition, eligible candidates must be of Asian Pacific American (APA) heritage and are willing to serve on CAPA’s Youth Committee to give back to the APA community. The awardee(s) will receive a Scholar Award of $500 (2 recipients) to $1,000 (1 recipient) at CAPA’s Splendor of the East reception on May 11, 2019. The recipient(s) will be identified by CAPA’s Education Committee, which will base its selection upon the applicants’ potential to provide outstanding APA leadership and/or community service to the state of Michigan.
