Council of Asian Pacific Americans
hosts its 3rd Annual Asian Festival
On Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 12 pm to 6 pm, the Council of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA) is hosting its 3rd Annual Asian Festival with over 3,000 metro Detroiters expected to attend. A diverse cross section of ethnic backgrounds will gather at the Madison Place in Madison Heights for the biggest Asian Fest in Oakland County. A non-stop offering of famous Asian Cuisine, Diverse Cultural Dance and Musical Performances. A fun collection of vendors for your shopping enjoyment.
The food at the Asian Festival span favorites across the Asian continent. This year’s participating food vendors will include a selection of dining options that is simply unparalleled.
There will also be ongoing schedule of music, vocal, dance and food demonstration performances on the main stage. Some of metro Detroit’s best cultural acts will come out and volunteer to ensure that this event will have the authenticity that the organizers are anticipating.
Guests will also have the opportunity to sample and shop from a boutique selection of local merchants, whose wares will include jewelry, clothing, cosmetics and body care, gift items, food products and more. Many amazing treasures will be there to be found.
CAPA (www.capa-mi.org) brings Asian Pacific Americans together with the community at large through culture, education and community services. CAPA’s signature events continue to showcase the growing strength of the APA communities and their increasing contributions to Michigan’s economy, diversity and vitality.
