Astronomy at the Beach is BACK Sept 16-17
WHERE: “Island Lake Picnic Grounds” inside Island Lake State Recreation Area, Brighton. You need a license plate “Recreation Passport” to get in
(or get one at gate for $17). Otherwise, a free event.
WHEN: Friday & Saturday, September 16 and 17. Program in the tent 7-9:30pm, telescopes 8pm-midnight
WHAT: Something for all ages. Fun science demonstrations, space pictures exhibit, talk by a NASA Solar System Ambassador professor, local astronomy club tables, etc.
HOW: Rain or shine, talks will still take place in the big tent.
WHO: This event is put on by SE MI astronomy clubs (glaac.org), and is co-sponsored by the Michigan Science Center and Cranbrook Institute of Science.
