Ann Arbor 40 DAYS FOR LIFE has begun a new initiative: Ann Arbor 40 DAYS FOR LIFE 365!
As 40 Days For Life International Headquarters calls it, this “new elite-level” initiative to begin hosting year-round vigils began on January 1st, 2021 in Ann Arbor.
We are Very Blessed in Ann Arbor by a great team of more than 225 Prayer Vigil Volunteers who have come out each campaign for the last 5 years and FILLED our prayer vigil commitment. Because of your dedication we were able to qualify to bring 40 Days for Life 365 to Ann Arbor. This is a Bold Effort and we need everyone to pray and fast for this effort. Around 5% of the campaigns around the world are participating in 40 Days for Life 365 and not every campaign that applies is accepted.
In order to qualify, we had to meet the following requirements, as 40 Days For Life wants to make sure local campaigns are committed to this effort. Thank you for your deep commitment to LIFE!
40 Days for Life 365 is not for everybody–but you may be eligible if you:
Have led at least two 40 Days for Life vigils
Lead or commit to leading both 40 Days for Life vigils each year
Have a demonstrated track record of filling all (or nearly all) hours on your 40 Days for Life vigil schedule with on-site prayer volunteers
Are willing to begin hosting a year-round vigil at least one business day a week, all year long, with a goal of eventually holding a vigil during all of your local abortion facility’s business hours
I am excited to announce that Crista Kolnitys will lead the 40 Days For Life 365 effort in Ann Arbor. Crista will be speaking at our Closing Rally this Palm Sunday (see flyer below for details), so please come out and meet her.
Crista has selected Tuesday, as the first business day we will cover in prayer. The business hours on Tuesday are from 9 am until 5 pm. Once a month on a Tuesday for a full year, different churches/congregations/individuals are invited to come out to the public right-of-way in front of Planned Parenthood at 3100 Professional Drive in Ann Arbor as we stand in peaceful prayer for an end to abortion. We will be adding new abortion days one day at a time. Please help spread the word about this important community outreach to your family and friends. Former abortion workers report that when there is somebody praying in front of an abortion facility, the no-show rate for abortions appointments can go to as high as 75 percent.
Please go to our online 365 vigil calendar at 40daysforlife.com/annarbor, to sign up for a Tuesday time spot. It will be exciting to watch as new business days are added to the calendar, so stay tuned.
Any day that you are available to pray outside of Planned Parenthood in Ann Arbor is the right day to go. So, if you cannot participate on Tuesdays, please go when it works for you. God will know that you are there and will hear your prayers. Business hours on Mon., Wed., Thurs. and Fri. are from 8 am until 4 pm. Please continue to pray and fast each day from wherever you are, for the day when abortion becomes unthinkable!
