American Business Women’s Association Maia Chapter – Gratitude: A Game Changer in Effective Leadership
Maia Chapter of ABWA presents:
Gratitude: A Game Changer in Effective Leadership
Is effective leadership a goal you wish to achieve?
I’m sure you are wondering what does gratitude have to do with effective leadership. The research of Professor Robert Emmons shows that people who practice gratitude feel closer to God, have higher levels of positive emotions, improved relationships, improved self-esteem, greater psychological health, greater physical health, ability to cope with everyday stress, grateful people sleep better, and, finally, gratitude enhances empathy and reduces aggression. Effective leaders know that this powerful attribute, along with forgiveness and compassion, can change the work culture to one where employees feel valued and, consequently, add value to the organization.
This presentation will focus on the four ways we can increase our gratitude that take little or no time. In addition, we will discuss what a “Power Thank You” looks like, saying “Thank You” for the ordinary, and simple ways to express sincere gratitude, especially at work.
Event cost is Thursday $20 (cost includes dinner)
